Bitcoin values 45% in a fortnight and exceeds $ 26,000

263% valuation in 2020

Last Friday (25), Christmas Day, Bitcoin beat its historic high and was traded for 25,000 for the first time. This Saturday the digital currency continued its bullish trend and surpassed $25,500. With less than 12 hours the currency broke a new record and surpassed $26,000 for the first time.

Several analysts expect that at some point the currency will face some kind of correction and start to fall, however, most of the market is optimistic, with Tony Vays betting that the asset will reach $28,000 by the end of the year, that is, in 5 days.

Bitcoin’s rise this year was driven by institutional investors that began to adopt the asset as a store of value. However, the rise in the last two days was mainly driven by retail investors.

Bitcoin’s market capitalization exceeded the market value of the Visa payments giant soon after cryptomoeda exceeded the $25,500 range. Now, there is no payment company or bank that has a higher capitalisation than digital currency.

Who would have thought?

The total capitalisation of Bitcoin is therefore now the 11th largest in the world compared to other companies.

In the last two weeks the asset valuation was 45%. It is worth remembering that the asset fell more than 50% in March and rose again in April.
